Inmet Mining Corp. posted net income of Canadian $89.8 million ($84.1 million) in the fourth quarter, in contrast to a net loss of C$32.5 million in the same period of 2008, thanks to higher copper and zinc prices and lower operating costs. Fourth-quarter sales of C$290.6 million ($272.1 million) were more than double the C$139.6 million a year earlier.
