Vietnam | Waste management company Vietstar has inaugurated a large scale recycling plant in Vietnam for 1,200 tonnes of domestic waste a day in Cu Chi district which is 40 km from Ho Chi Minh City. According to the company, organic components are composted and plastics processed to polyethylene granulates, which are sold to industrial companies for the production of garbage bags and plastic pipes. Other materials such as metals are also separated and recycled.
